Fence and shed repairs and replacements — panel swaps, post resets, full runs of new fence, gate repairs and rehangs, shed roof felt replacement, shed door fixes, base levelling, and weatherproofing.
Who it's for
Anyone whose fence took a hit in a winter storm, anyone with a shed door that won't shut, landlords wanting boundaries that look respectable, and homeowners reclaiming a tidy garden.
When you need it
Spring after winter winds, and any time a panel goes down or a post starts to lean. Don't wait — a leaning post drags the rest of the run down with it.
Why professional help matters
A failed fence isn't just ugly — it's a security gap and an insurance discussion waiting to happen. Sheds with failed roofs ruin everything stored inside them within one wet winter. Both are far cheaper to address early than late.
Small problems don't staysmall for long.
Most of the expensive repairs we see started as cheap ones that got ignored. Here's what we typically see — and what to look out for.
-
Leaning posts pull whole runs down
One rotten or wobbly post puts all the load on its neighbours — repair fast or the whole fence goes.
-
Shed roofs that leak unnoticed
Felt splits and lifts long before water visibly comes through. By the time you notice, your tools and bikes are already rusting.
-
Storm damage and insurance
Slow-to-repair storm damage often leads to secondary damage — and insurers are less sympathetic the longer it sits.
From first call tofinished job.
- 01
Assess the run
We check the full fence line — not just the obvious failure — so we don't repair one panel and watch the neighbour fall a month later.
- 02
Quote in writing
Repair vs replace clearly priced. We'll tell you honestly when a full new run is the better-value answer.
- 03
Strip & prep
Old panels, posts and concrete removed and disposed of. Holes prepared with the right depth and drainage.
- 04
Install
New posts set in postcrete, panels fitted level, gravel boards seated, gates hung and adjusted.
- 05
Walk-round
Garden tidied, off-cuts removed, before-and-after photos for your records.
The benefits, inplain English.
No vague claims — just the practical things you'll actually notice.
-
Boundaries that hold
Properly set posts and well-fitted panels — built for the next winter, not just this weekend.
-
Tidy, square gates
Gates that latch on the first push, every time.
-
Watertight sheds
Re-felted roofs, sealed flashings, sound doors and hinges.
-
Honest repair-vs-replace advice
We won't sell you a new run when a couple of panels and a post will do.
What's actuallyinvolved.
Below is the typical scope of our fencing and shed work.
Panel replacement
Standard 6x6 lap and feather-edge panels in concrete or timber posts, gravel boards renewed where needed. We can usually match an existing run.
Full new fence runs
Boundary lines stripped and replaced — typically 1.8m close-board or lap-panel fencing, concrete or pressure-treated posts, gravel boards, post caps.
Post resets & repairs
Leaning posts dug out, the hole re-formed and re-set in postcrete with proper drainage at the base to extend lifespan.
Gates
New side gates, rehung existing gates, drop bolts, latches, locks, self-closing hinges. Gates that work first time, every time.
Shed roof felt
Old felt and clout nails stripped, boards checked for rot, replaced where needed, new heavy-duty mineral felt fitted, drip edges and flashings sealed.
Shed doors, locks & general repairs
Sagging doors planed and rehung, hinges replaced, hasps and padlocks fitted, base levelling, soft floor sections replaced.
Residential vs commercial
We also handle small commercial boundaries — yards, car-park borders, secure storage compounds — to the same standard.
Honest pricing,written down.
